Our SAY group in Cwmbran was first started in 1990 by Jeff Dicken and
in 1993 he was commissioned as the Youth Secretary.
The SAY group then was very much like our SAY group now. Their
activities included Games, Quizzes and Craft for forthcoming fayres followed by 20 minute devotions before going home.
They
also went on outdoor activities like Ten Pin Bowling, Ice Skating and Weekends away at Tenby.
Another feature of the
SAY group was to visit other corps. That corps would then visit our corps.
1997-Present
The SAY group is now led by Sarah and Simon Cox with the help of Wendy
Andrews.
SAY hasn't changed very much since it was started in 1990. The activities are very much the same.
